Sydney Mathews

Sydney Mathews 22-year-old Sydney Mathews in June 2020 from the University of Oregon with a focus in Cinema Studies and Journalism. She has lived in Eugene, Oregon for over a decade and is highly familiar with the nonprofits in the area. Her interest in nonprofits began in high school when she volunteered as the Small Animal Room Assistant for Greenhill Humane Society for two years. In college, Sydney volunteered for the Bernie Sanders campaign and wrote articles about affordable housing, independent workers, and other community-related topics. She loves petsitting, writing, and traveling to quiet nature trails. She is focused on a writing-based career centered on journalism, preproduction, or content creation.
